First make sure what bug it is. That may help determine the best solution later. In some areas very dangerous bugs should be reported and left to specialists to deal with!
A wasp that makes those little gray paper nests are easily solved. Wait until it's cold or dark and spay WD-40 on it using the red tube/nozzle that comes with the can. It is an oil base so it soaks into the paper (and the wood, so be careful what you spray it on if you care).
CAUTION: Disturbing a nest can result in sudden activity and risk stinging! NOTE: The WD-40 also weighs them down and they tend to fall to the ground trying to dry off. Wearing a good pair of boots I stomp on them.
Later I knock down the nest and spray the area again to discourage their return. It works great and they never return to the same spot (I can tell because of the little oil stain where I sprayed). If you are allergic to stings or don't want to risk it, best answer will be to call in a pro!
I even used a whole can on a Yellow Jacket nest but that was VERY RISKY and I was almost stung a number of times! But for all my stupidity, they all died and/or never came back.
There is an awesome wasp, hornet spray on the market now. I have used it a couple times and it works great. There are different name brands, but the main thing is it shoots into the nest as you stand away.
Had one on my parents home last year and had to get rid of it for them. Stood on the ground a few feet away and sprayed it right on and in the nest. It killed them and partially dissolved the nest.
Good luck with this.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
