Yep. Most cats do fine with their people leaving. But I have had two cats that were sensitive enough to notice when someone was gone.
It sounds like your cat is very bonded to your husband and is experiencing separation anxiety. Here are some links to articles about it: http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?... http://www.ehow.com/how_2120725_handle-f... I would definitely pick up some Feliway plug-in diffusers to help calm your cat when your husband is gone. You can buy them at pet stores, but they're cheaper online.
Try PetEdge.com. If that doesn't help, your vet may be able to prescribe anxiety medication for her. Good luck to you and Bella.
She sounds like a really sweet kitty.
Yes they can ,people and other cats my cat kiki had a companion cat by the name of belle ,last week we had to put belle to sleep she was very very sick with stomach cancer and thou she never wanted any thing to do with kiki he always wanted to cuddle up to her and play with her ,now that shes gone he is less active and goes around the house whining looking everywhere for her,so of course they have the feeling of someone missing and it can cause depression in a cat so we are going to try to get another kitten he loves companionship.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
