It doesn't, in my opinion. Kid's need to learn how to handle losing and winning fairly. My 7 year old autistic cousin LOVES playing soccer, but "everyone's a winner".
He's started keeping track of the goals from each team, and at the end of it he tells everyone who actually won, and congratulates the other team if they've won. Some of the kids find it upsetting when he tells them they've lost, and the trainers do TRY to make a liar out of him, but the other parents support it, and find it better.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
