Diane, while I sorted this out, things did not go as smoothly as I would have thought. Once I managed to find and delete the 'extra views' (the inadvertent search words entered in the Advanced Toolbar 'Message' drop down box), one still remained but was not listed in the Custom View Organizer. I ultimately did manage to get things back to a default.
I'm not sure what happened though. At any rate, thanks for your very prompt help. All the best and have a great New Year.

Or click in the custom views command and hit the page down key 2 (or more times) to get down to Define views then hit enter. -- Diane Poremsky MVP - Outlook Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: dailytips-subscribe- ... more.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
