Affordable Windows gaming computer?

Here's the thing... Brick and Mortar stores like Best Buy, Wal-Mart, STAPLES etc don't really carry affordable PCs that are configured well for gaming off-the-shelf. Their affordable PCs are fine for basic use, but usually only have integrated graphics or low-end graphics cards. Their gaming PCs are usually way over-spec'd and overpriced.

Those stores have little incentive to hurt sales of their expensive gaming systems by offering low-cost alternatives. For low-cost PCs with good gaming performance you'll usually need to buy from Newegg, Tiger Direct or order a custom unit online from CyberpowerPC or Ibuypower (although in the latter 2 cases, shipping costs are often high) Now overall, gaming performance depends 70% upon your graphics card. So the dirty little secret that merchants don't want most consumers to know?

You can get nice gaming performance by purchasing an affordable starting PC and installing a better graphics card yourself. Now that approach doesn't always work, because faster graphics cards require more power. And PC manufacturers typically skimp on their lower-end budget models to keep their production costs down.

Budget desktops typically come with weak factory power supplies which can't accommodate major upgrades. In order to support decent gaming cards it's often necessary to upgrade the power supply too. But there are some exceptions.

My friend has a Lenovo and its a great little computer for beginners. If you a hardcore gamer I recommend getting a custom built 1. If your an intermediate then I would recommend the newest HPwindows 8 they cost around 500-600$ but its completely worth it they run around 120 fps on black ops And the same on minecraft and around 150fps for steam.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
