You can't blame Bush for the Republicans woes. They failed to stay fiscal conservatives and passed a lot of pork during the Bush years, it's tough to chastise the democrats for spending when they spent like democrats for 8 years, and it's tough to criticize them for some of their ploys to pass bills when they did the same.
No, the leftist news media carried stories about imaginary torture, and even made up stories ( look under Dan Rather, etc, etc ) to demonize Bush. The country was protected for 8 years under Bush, and the enemies that attacked us were given a good punishment. The economy thrived under Bush, until Dems took control - I know as a businessman.
The Iraq war wasn't popular but Democrats were for it before they were against it, when it became politically expedient. College kids and the clueless heard the "evil" Bush stories and were tired of the media whining. Bush's only downfall was being LESS conservative than expected.
Wait and see in 2010.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
