Ungrounded sockets, are only a danger to 'you' not the equipment Long lines (to the property) that pick up power spikes could be an issue, as could using equipment during electrical storms (even if somewhat away from you - they get onto the lines) Ungrounded sockets, Well.. if the equipment has no ground anyway (it only has 2 pin connector), it makes no difference! If the equipment needs/expects a 'saftey' ground, then operating without it can leave the output 'floating' at a high voltage and it might 'tingle' when touched. OR if there were a fault metal parts would become live.
You can make it (ground) safe using a standard Earth Leakage protector, they just detect that all the power did not go to back out, when it went in - because it leaked to YOU) and cuts it out. Make sure it is a 2 pole one, so cuts both power leads. To save your equipment from power spikes, you need a power conditioner... So don't worry about the lack of ground, that does not sound like your problem.
Power spikes are... and you need a power conditioner.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
