It is because of the way in which you are registering the click event on button#confirm . Every time you click on the delete button you are registering a new click event handler to the modal dialog's confirm button.
When a user clicks a link it's submitted despite of the dialog button clicked. You need to prevent the default behavior: e.preventDefault().
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
