Am gettin an old iphone. Already have at&t. Can I just stick in my sim card & use it as a phone?

Must I get a data plan? My cousin is giving me his old iphone. I have att&t service, was hoping that I wouldnt have to get a data plan cause I am a poor student!

Can I just use it as a phone and surf the internet over wifi? I also would like to be able to sync outlook mail as well as the calender. Can I do that?

Yours is a good question I think your best bet is to call AT&T and ask them. Or visit an AT&T store. They will tell it to you straight.

If you wnt to use it to surf the net, then you have to pay a data plan. Since you are a student then ask about a discount. Some companies discount up to 19%.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
