Am looking for a series of baseball books(late 60's-early 70's)about a boy and his team in the Sonoran desert. Any help? This series was like the Nancy Drew Mysteries or Hardy Boys series only about a high school baseball team.In one story they got to play in Yankee Stadium I think.
In another the hero was hoping that a ball dribbled down the third base line would go foul but it didn't and they lost the championship. Does anyone remember the name of this series or the names of the books? I wasn't able to ID your series, but this index of Juvenile Baseball books may help Maybe one of the plots will jog your memory - I didn't see anything that rings a bell. I seem to vaugely recall the books - maybe I read them in Jr high or something. Sources: uta.edu/english/tim/baseball/juv/index.html .
These were my favorite books when I was a kid, too. I sure would like to find a book or two from the series as well.
When was the last time baseball team came back from two losses in the playoffs to go all the way to win the World Series.
Looking for the title of a young adult book series from the late 70's/early 80's about a boy at camp...
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
