Amazon products - is it best to link direct to Amazon or to my aStore to get purchase revenue?

In my opinion, it is better to link direct to Amazon. I say this because of my own personal experience where amazon is so good at suggesting other products, offering incentives to buy an additional item and so on. Of course when a customer buys additional items during a visit to the site from your link, you also get sales commission on any other items they buy as well!

Other hubbers may have a different view but this is what is working well for me.Alison.

Thank you both so much for your input. At least now I know I can link by specific product and related products and not lose traffic/sales. I've been having trouble linking specific items by ASIN or URL in my Amazon capsules, either directly through Amazon or through my aStore, which is driving me mad.

From what I can tell, any ASIN beginning with "B" doesn't link - it just comes up "No results found". Have either of you experienced this? I can't seem to find a way around it.

Before the CA affilliate thing, I used both direct links to Amazon and had several Amazon aStores. I used the Hub to direct traffic to either, the aStores were grouped into similar fields such as all dog information, business information etc.You get additional revenue from people clicking through Amazon recommendations from your aStore too and there is no reason other than a few hours extra work to do it this way. Set your nets to catch the most fish I'd say.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
