If you were around to hear the old timers, fellow fighter's, trainers, etc. Liston was a force. Prior to the controversial Clay/Ali fights. Those that knew him and worked with him (Johnny Tocco) gym owner in Vegas, he was far better than Foreman.
Liston was a really good boxer besides a hitter and could slip punches, and punish with arguably the hardest, not fastest jab ever in the heavyweight division. His long arms, 84" reach allowed him to murder you from a distance with just the jab. Younger kids today just don't realize h good Liston really was.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
