Actually, if you exclude the Tea Party from these statistics, obesity and homophobia aren't all that common in America. It's just a small percentage that make the rest look bad.

I'm sorry that you were thrown out of the Army for being gay and that you cannot donate blood. However, you don't need to leave America. You could now serve in the US Army if you wanted to, and you could move to the states where gay marriage is legal. For example, I live in Iowa, and gay marriage is performed here.

I will point out that you didn't bother to supply the data rating countries by their tolerance of gayness. There doesn't seem to be much connection, given that some of the most tolerant countries make this top twenty, yet none of the countries that still jail or kill men for being gay make this list at all. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
