The Irish know how ...to make a good cup of tea and set your day off to a wonderful start! .
1 oh my! I do hope you are a morning person! Just viewed part of your collection of mugs -- very impressive!
Do you ever drink out of one more than once? LOLWe probably have about 20-24 mugs here, but they get used pretty constantly. Just got one for my husband which is quite oversized, when we were visiting Multnomah Falls (Columbia Gorge between Oregon and Washington) this weekend after we gave some speeches at a meeting.
He is from Australia where it is so very dry, and he loves water! So visiting the Gorge was very special for him, and driving through what amounts to a 'northern rain forest' was gorgeous as we drove up the Old Gorge Road. It's everything I can do NOT to use that extra size mug for my early morning cuppa tea -- my blood transfusion!
Sun's starting to climb over the blackberry hedge and hit the birches and roses now....time to get going and feed the beasts. Have a funny bit for you. This past spring we order six new hen chicks and put in an order for a rooster chick.
Our 'rooster' turned out to be a hen, but, SURPRISE, I THOUGHT I heard some tentative crowing last week on Tuesday morning. On Wednesday morning, there it was again. I let the chickens out into the morning air and stared at them, "OK which one of you is really a rooster?"
And there he was. He had been a little bigger than his 'chick mates' all along, so we had figured he was from another batch. S tail never went 'up' the way we expect a young rooster's tail to go when the tails are starting to develop, but went down the same way the hens' did.
But, suddenly, there he is, glossy and golden and learning to strut a bit. He knows he a boy for a reason, but he's not quite sure what that reason is. When he chases the hens a bit, they run away!
What sort of cooperation is that? It's funny watching them get their collective acts together. But now we will be able to hatch our own new chicks next spring or summer and that's great!
Of course, all the eggs will give us lovely laying hens, not more roosters.....right? (not...sigh) .

2 tupp ~ that is so awesome about your trip. And new chick hens, how exciting. I took the kids next door the other day, were we get our eggs from, and her peacock was shedding, she let each child (I had 4 with me) have a feather to take to school.
It is pretty cool to live next to a peacock, except when it makes the noise they make, it sounds like a cat in trouble. 24 mugs, I can't ever remember owning just 24 LOL! I just got about 12 more over the last few weeks, so my number is definitely crawling.......600+!
We are having a beautiful day too. Sun in and out, a slight breeze and nice temp.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
