For Japanese Otakus in Japan, they are regarded as weirdos among Japanese since they dedicated their life & spend so much money to invest into their hobby. I. E games, cosplay, manga, etc. to some extent that there was a report in news that a Japanese guy was decided to marry an Anime character as his legal wife & registered in the civil record.
Yeah ... that was extreme man. For non-Japanese Otakus ... most of them are self-proclaimed Otaku which is a wrong claim. Reading or watching a couple of popular titles & then go public through Facebook, Twitter or Path proclaiming themselves as Otaku is not the way it supposed to.
In Japan the label Otaku is given by the society to label certain people who obsessed with their hobby. So a simple deduction would be that for someone to become an Otaku that person should be living in Japan & get the labeling as Otaku from the Japanese. Emo.
I think that Otaku is a derogatory term, so watch how you use it.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
