Any ideas on how we can inspire young people to become interested in wholesome food, gardening and sustainability?

The quick way to do this is to pay them to garden for you. Does not have to be a lot. Teens will usually do anything for money... You can pay them to help clear the garden start seedings.

Many eventually take interest over time in the thought of free food of their favorite fruit or vegetable.. Also find things they enjoy eating that are fruits and Vegetables or Grains... Ask them if they want to learn how to grow it many will be curious... For me Gardening was a thing I did with my Grandparents I loved it while growing up. Still would enjoy it if I could kneal without ankle and knee problems... You can help them learn how to market what they grow as well.... I have watched the roughest city person become willing to give gardening and farm work a try with a money incentive some take an interest and keep on doing it.. Others will wander away after they stop recieving money... Different teens are attracted to different things... So Not all will take interest. For me Gardening has always been an interest, I know many are interested on their own without adults... As I was in Greenhouse management class and I was surprised to learn how hard for most people it was to get into that class.

I had no trouble getting in because I volunteered to help out in the FFA greenhouse all the time while growing up. Not the same as gardening but eventually people take interest beyond the greenhouse too, I was surprised how many I went to school with did. - DNatureofDTrain.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
