Cauliflower and other cabbage family veggies are commonly eaten by the cabbage worm a green caterpillar. It blends in perfectly with the foliage and is hard to see. Your best defense is a natural occuring bacteria that is deadly to them but harmless to us.It is BT (bacillus thuringensis).
Available in concentrate form, it can be easily mixed with wayer and put in a hand spray bottle. It is an organic control.
What I like to do when trying to thwart off pests is planting garlic, Marigolds, and onions within my "prime" veggies. These are very repulsive to MANY insects.
I don't know what they are but you plant other plants around your plants that ward off the pests that are eating your veggies! These other plants usually encourage insects and other preditors that then eat your problem pests. I know that beer in bowls bureid up to the lip encourages slugs to drown, & roasted crushed egg shells also deter the snails and slugs.
Try an organic grow your own veg site, sure it will have all the answers! Hope this was of some use!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
