Any recommendations on photo editing software under $200?

I would like to have the ability to enhance my digital pictures with more control than that offered by something free like Picasa, but I don't really need something at the Photoshop level either. Would like to spend less than $200. Thanks!

This is a good one... The newest version of Adobe Photoshop Elements. It has many of the same exact features as it's much more expensive sibling and at no where near the cost. Unless you are a professional photographer and need the added benifits of Photoshop CS3, Photoshop Elements should be all you will ever need.

Photoshop Elements Photoshop Elements is a kind of "Photoshop Lite". It's better than Picassa, but hasn't got as many tools and "stuff" as Photoshop. You can also look around at computer shows and on Ebay/Craigslist for old versions of Photoshop which you can pick up really cheap. At work, I use Photoshop 7, and it does everything I need.

At home I have CS2 but it's so bloated with features half the time I still go back to version 7 if I just need to do something quick and easy. Depending on what kind of functions you want there are quite a few answers The GIMP- a freely distributed photoshop clone, very popular iphoto - if you own a mac you already have this Photo Express - mac only sorry the only windows one is the GIMP, but a lot of photographers use OSX .

Two good choices Microsoft Digital Image Suite or Photoshop Elements are both very good. PhotoShop Elements 4, 5 or 6 I use this program and have done so since PSE2 came out. I have upgraded each time they brought out a new verison. I like this program because it is easy to use and can do so much.It does a pretty good job on making your photo the best it can be but also has filters, levels and layer styles to enhance your photo.

I have also found classes on the internet to learn this program - usually only $20. Gwen .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
