Any tips on improving traffic and making money with the Hubpages ad program?

To clarify -- I joined HP three years ago and only wrote a few hubs. I didn't monetize them until I posted some new ones -- so, my Google Adsense estimated earnings are for the nine hubs, starting a few weeks ago.

AdSense for Content 91 1 1.10% $4.95 $0.45.

I took another look -- Adsense jumped from 2 cents in April to 55 cents in June and 41 cents in July.

Part of my difficulty with rev share is I just don't get excited over a few cents. It was good to see there have been page views, but there was only one click in the entire month of September.

After pinging and Tweeting the hubs during my last surge of HP hope, I haven't done anything to promote them. I'm looking to see if I can make this a worthwhile source of passive income.

I see I'm good for 1 cent from the Hubpages ad program -- that's since I logged out last night. I'm guessing it takes 100s of hubs to add up to much. I published a new one last night and have one in progress for today.

Patience is indeed the key word. I have been here for two years now and in total received 3 google cheques and another unissued one so far. It took me 9 months to get my first cheque.

Then 5 months to get the second one. Then 4 months to get the 3rd one and the fourth 100 reached within 2 months. So you can see that it does get better by time.

Keep on writing good hubs. I landed on a couple of earners throughout my experience here and they bring me 90% of the revenue and the other 30 or so hubs are just sitting there bringing some traffic but not much revenue. If you find one hub that brings you some money then improvise on it and also create other hubs related to it.

Yeah man, I agree with the hubbers above. Just keep writing, perseverance will pay off. I'm just getting a few cents so far, but I'm not giving up!

You must write as a passion, it will get easier this way. By writing, we actually are more aware of what we know and what we do not!

Get your articles linked up to sites like reddit- the more impressions, the more money. Also, I was surprised that 9 hubs got you 2.45...is that the total you've made on adsense during the entire time you've been on hubpages?

Expand beyond just hubpages and put links/blurbs that lead to your article on RSS feed sites, forums, other social networks.

My only advice for you is to keep on writing. With only nine hubs you will make money, but perhaps not much. It took me a good 50 hubs for me to really start earning money.

On both adsense and Ad program. Self-promotion doesn't have to be hard, start a blog, or share your hubs on FB that helped me..

Patience m'good man, patience. By the way, I think thats a helluva start 2.45 in nine hubs. Normally, the more longer a hub lasts the higher views it will definitely get later on.

I am also new to hubpages with 18 hubs, I just read the Hubpages ad program every time. Just be patience, read more about long time hubbers and you can absorb tips from them.. Goodluck.

A great way to improve traffic is by some obvious means like creating hubs with names that are frequently searched on google and then there's some not so obvious ones like finding websites that you can submit your hubpages articles to like SheToldMe, Reddit, and Delicio.us. This is how most of your hubbers gain traffic a little more speedily. I'ts been 40-something hours and I'm still waiting for my verification to process.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
