I've written a short biography of Monet with pictures.
I visited Giverny awhile ago, and recently posted a hub with a bunch of photographs of the gardens- both the water garden and the Clos Normand flower garden. There are a few of the outside of the home as well, and the view from his bedroom window- which I was lucky to get. They have guards posted in each room, and will not allow photos to be taken inside the house.
I was fortunate that the particular guard in that room allowed me to take the photographs looking out the window.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
