Anyone else sick of seeing their questions disappear too fast, or get few answers, or one, to even warrant sending it to final voting?

It is all about visibility now and if your questions going to get seen you will need to do a bit more work. The share feature has never been more important. Tweet your questions.

I have not minded as of yet but the speed of new questions coming in and pushing my questions out and the new front page format has fundamentally changed the way I will tip one of my own questions. The new front page format has made me see that the amount of tip I give to a question means little unless it is over 5 Mahalo Dollars anything under that gets bumped from the front page quickly so I just don't add tip as much or as high as I might have before. Adding a one dollar tip just does not mean as much anymore and certainly will not get you any additional time on the front page like it used to.So most of the time I just let Mahalo fund my questions and if the community votes them up then they have a chance a some front page time.

The sharing feature has been getting a lot of use from me lately as I have Tweeted every question I have asked recently to try to get more community visibility for the money. I have even been using ShareThis and Shareaholic to send my questions the next day again too put them out there for all to see one more time. Like all new systems I am learning to use this one to the best of my ability and being flexible as to what I want to do and what to expect for results has been key for me in using the tools given to me to the best of my ability.

I've been around long enough to have seen my fair share of "quick questions". I used to get frustrated, but now I just look at it as the questioner got the "best" answer they want and don't want to look any further. A number of times I could have added some quality to the answer, but... questioners jumped to close the vote.

I would think that people would typically want to keep the question open as long as possible to get the most variety/option on answers... but that's just me. Just move on to other questions you can answer.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
