Apart from Hubpages, what are some other great ways to get your writing out there and seen?

Use backlinks: The backlinks will draw views to your hubs. I don't know if this is what you had in mind, but just thought I would share. Search for hubs about backlinks, they will be useful.

Create a blog and use social media as well to link to your writing.

Yahoo Contributors Network is pretty good for exposure if not for per view payment.

I use Twitter, Myspace, and Facebook to advertise my writing. As far as other money-earning writing sites go, I really like Helium and Blogger. Good luck :o).

You can always use Facebook to drive traffic to your articles. Apparently, 250 million people a day visit Facebook. That's ten times more than the number of people who visit Walmart stores daily.

I believe Hubpages is a great place to share your writing abilities and great at attracting readers. Personally I would prefer Hubpages to Squidoo. As for the article directories, it's becoming more of a problem coz a lot of people are abusing it and not many actually read content from article directories.

I would say the best place still to get your article noticed if you were to go for this is Ezinearticles. There are also other options like Infobarrel, which is relatively new but very popular. Check it out.

If you wanna get more out of your writing i. E some form of income, places like DemandMedia, Elance, Freelancer, Odesk are great websites to start off with. Blogging is also a good idea but very competitive.

Then comes the problem of getting traffic, readers and SEO. If you don't want to get a headache from all this search engine rankings etc I would advise you to stay away from it.

I'm a fan of guest posting on blogs and including links to your main blog or other writing venue in the author details of the guest posts.

There are much better writing sites than the HP, such as wikinut and blogger also tweet everything you write. NEVER use backlinks..

Hubpages is probably the best, but there are others like Squidoo and Ezine Articles.

Article sites offer excellent opportunities for both honing and expressing your writing skills. Ezinearticles. Com and articlebase.Com are my favorites.

However, you have to conform to their guidelines and your articles are to be approved before publication (as is the case with Hubpages. ) But if you want to have editorial control with yourself, starting a blog will be the best.

There are several I use. All free. Selfgrowth.Com, Freetrafficsystem.

Com, eZine articles and of course you can put them on blogger.com. Best of all though is to start a blog. Then you not only have your articles, but you can monetize them too.

For me personally it is through 100 percent referring sites which has spread my article around the world in 8 countries: United States, Canada, Germany, Spain, Australia, Japan, Brazil, China. Some cities are: New York City, New York; San Francisco, Ca. ; Pelato, Brazil; Wuhan, China; Calgary, Canada.

I also earned my first 1 cent on December 28, 2010 A.D. Through referring sites traffic only for my 1 article that is on the internet and they have been coming back for my article every month since December 2010 A.D. And the first time they found my article on the internet was August 2010 A.D.Which was 2 months later after I put it on the internet with google on June 2010 A.D. Just the facts in my own case. My 1 article can not be seen from hubpages. At least it is being seen around the world through 100 percent referring sites.

Just write an excellent article and the referring sites will find it and spread it around the world like they have done with my 1 article that I written and put it on the internet with google on June 2010 A.D. You must be patient like I was and keep your hands off your article while referring sites are searching for excellent articles to pick up and spread around the world. I knew when I wrote my article that it was a smashed hit and just set it free on the internet knowing that the referring sites will read and pick up my article and spread it around the world and also will continue to come back to my article over and over again every single month since December 2010 A.D. Like they have been doing ever since that time.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
