Are any of you football widows and what do you do when the game is on?

If you can' beat'em.... Join'em! Seriously, CrownChakra - I learned the game as a young girl watching with my Daddy. While I'm not a fanatic by any means I do enjoy watching the local pro team (Cowboys)with my husband.

We also attend the college games (Texas A&M) on fall weekends. He has both my daughters interested and they now love going to the games. The concepts and rules aren't too difficult and the games can be quite exciting.

I don't wish to give the impression that I lay on the couch all weekend long and watch endless games - maybe one or two games on some weekends. My husband is certainly more fanatical than I. When he decides to have a "lockdown" football weekend I make plans to work in the flower beds, read a good book or, my favorite hobby, go shopping!

I have some girlfriends who are "football widows" and we'll hook up for a day of shopping with lunch of course. There are often arts and crafts shows going on in the fall and those are fun to check out as well. Fall is my favorite time of year - I love the cool crisp weather - and football, for our family, is a small part of the reason I enjoy the season.

I would encourage you to try and watch a couple of games...it really can be fun. If that's not your cup of tea then hit the shops! Good question - look forward to hear what some of the other football widows have to say!

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
