Are any other Christians going to celebrate the Winter Solstice and Yule this year?

Could'a fooled ME! I've been celebrating CHRISTMAS for all my life on Dec 25th. Oh, and your "supposed" date was not June but rather early SPRING, which would put it in March or April.

But regardless of when Christ's birth actually happened, what is more important is to celebrate/observe it due to it's immense significance in human history. Do you know that all thoroughbred race horses are recorded as born in January 1st, regardless of when the colt actually was born? So tell me why it is acceptable to SHIFT this but not to shift Christ's birthday?

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
