Are atheists more likely to be possessed by demons than christians?

The only people I've ever heard of being "possessed by demons" are those that actually believe in them.

Yes; and a truely born again christian cannot be possed by a demon. 1 Corinthians 6;19 - - What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

The bible says the christian is the temple of the Holy Spirit or God, how can a devil occupy the same person? And the reason that demons can posses atheist more easily is because of unrepetance and sin; claiming athesim when the bible acknowledges no such criteria is a sin.

Not necessarily. With the risk of being attacked, I'll be forward and honest. There are many objects that can attract demons, and people who have these risk being possessed or attacked by demons.

These can include video games, movies, books, board games, and yes, even religious images. Images are objects of idolatry. They are used to idolize who?

Not Jehovah God. So anyone who possesses objects of the occult or objects used for idolatry does not have God's protection.

What an archaic term. Someone being "possessed" (as you put it) was the only thing that made any sene for early peoples with say, schitzophrenia, epilepsy, muteness, sickness, and much more. We modern ADULTS know better through study and observation.

Two things the church frowns upon.

I sure haven't! Even outside the TV world, have you ever heard of an atheist get possessed by a demon? I have never in my LIFE heard of an atheist being possessed by a demon.

Well... Hmmm... Oh I know! I think that possession is like Voodoo. It will not work unless you believe in it.

Since, Atheists don't believe in demons then I don't think any Atheist is gonna get possessed unless they secretly believe in demons. So, NO!

God does not want to smite them down, he loves us all equally. Jesus didn't die only for Christians, he died to give us all a chance, just a chance. It is our choice to love God back and decide we want to be with him because we love him."On hearing this, Jesus said to them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.

I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners. " He wants to save us from ourselves, but he too knows what many people have figured out: you can only help people who want to be helped. Demons are no longer an issue, he got rid of them so we can live life and destroy ourselves, we don't need their help to do it.

Com'on now, "Unknown," you don't actually, in your adult life, as an educated and intelligent person, actually BELIEVE in demons, do you?! If so, all anyone can do for you is weep. Why do you view atheists with such rancor?

We simply should not be victims of your misplaced hate, especially if you understood what atheism is. There is only ONE similarity that all atheists have in relation to your religion. We simply request that you provide independently verifiable evidence that your god exists before you expect us to abandon our collective common sense and worship something that isn't there.

Why should you find our position on this so difficult for you that you strike out in the blind fury of the superstitious? Your position makes no sense in light of our quiet request.

In religion, this may be psychologically excepted, but by a practical perspective demons simply do not exist due to the lack of any known evidence.

Well, as there is absolutely no evidence of any person, let-a-lone atheists ever being 'possessed by demons', I guess that answers your question to a level you never even expected.

Yes. But, I wouldn't count atheists as highly likely on the list. People seeking demonic power/help, get demon possessed.

We're also more likely do survive diseases since we don't rely on "God's" protection but rather human development.

YES! OH EMM GEE WE NEED TO KILL THEM ALL!11!1!

Can't be possessed by something that doesn't exist.

Considering there is no such thing as a daemon, you ask an irrelevant question.

More likely those who believe in them than those who do not.

Theists confuse mental illness with 'possession'. Anyone can suffer from mental illness: theist OR atheist.

But I thought Jesus/God loves us even if we ignore his existence. So therefore we don't have to believe in him to be protected by him.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
