Monday October 1, 2007A recent study published in the Archives of General Psychiatry found that the adult children of Holocaust survivors with PTSD may be at greater risk for the development of PTSD following a traumatic event as compared to children of Holocaust survivors without PTSD. In particular, this study found that children of Holocaust survivors with PTSD, as compared to children of those without PTSD, had lower cortisol levels (a hormone released in response to stress), an identified vulnerability for developing PTSD following traumatic exposure. You can learn more about this study, as well as the relationship between cortisol and PTSD, here.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
