Are China’s high emissions of carbon (CO2) tangible proof that China is developing faster than US?

I don't think so. Everyone knows that China is developing rapidly these years and exhausts lots of CO2. But this shows that China's development is based on high energy consumption.US's development is based on so it not need to exhaust too much CO2.

Fortunately, Chinese and Chinese Governemnt are pay more attention to the environment and energy now. As the time passed by, less and less CO2 will be generated during the production. I am looking forward the day ---"Made in China" is labled by "Green"!

The two are kind of unrelated. Gh carbon emissions are not proof of more or faster development - simply that the fuel being used for that "development" is dirtier.

China, as a more or less command economy, could have chosen to power it growth on cleaner energy (wind, solar... Three Gorges Dam), but coal is cheap (especially when it's State owned) and plentiful.

What will be interesting is whether or not China can sustain it's development. Will the country pursue a mixed energy portfolio, or will they continue with fossil fuels. If they continue with fossil fuels they will at some point have to clean up their mess (Which will require financial and labor expense and the slowing of GDP growth), or the entire country will be polluted and unlivable (no more growth country not habitable).

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
