Sadly most so called christian do not do this... But I guarantee you if you ask the Jehovah's Witness if they follow this commandment they tell you they do.
I've seen some women dressed in old style, what appeared to be handmade dresses, with a thin cloth covering their head. They were of a Protestant German faction of Lutheranism, if I remember right. I and others suppose that Paul was speaking of a cultural aspect of proper attire.
We know that salvation isn't based upon what you wear on your head. So either Paul got his culture mixed into what was proper (wasn't the only time), or Paul knew them and how they thought, seeing they needed to conform to what otherwise would be viewed as rebellion or within THAT specific people's mindset, would be viewed as rebellion. EDIT: As a Bisexual Christian, I do concur with you on the hunt and peck style of sin rationalizing!
Okay?
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
