Are claims about God indistinguishable from claims about Thor, Zeus, fairies, and Superman?

If your logic is correct then it proves that some God or gods exist. But it gets us no closer to the "real" God. However, I do not think your proof is sufficient -- all it proves is that all human beings have the urge to believe in a higher being in some manner.

Note that the differences in focus between different religions can be fascinating on that point -- consider that the holiest of people in some religions (folks like Yogis) do not worship at all.

Which came first, men or gods, that is the question. Did men INVENT gods? Are men THAT creative?

Or, are there and were there gods that required and DEMANDED worship. People would have had to have been WAY more creative way back when than they are today to even make up Zeus and Thor. Since when are they even mythical?

As powers, I think those were powers that existed also. Could some fabrications creep in? Maybe, maybe not.

Likely a bit of both. The bible does not say 'thou shalt have NO other gods before me' because there are absolutely no other gods. There are and were LOTS of gods.

I think people knew more back then than now regarding spiritual things. This is a materialistic time, great darkness, when the gods are hidden, get more done that way. Paganism is alive and well today as well as satanism and witchcraft.

Those people would know about gods, know about their existence. Amazing, the level of arrogance in people...so all those people are just STUPID? All those satanists are following a myth?

THEY don't think so. Just because people today have no experience with witchcraft, so then it doesn't exist? And doesn't that sound just like a baby that thinks if it has the blanket over it's face, that you aren't there?

So, which came first...man or gods? Or God? And who then is 'the god of this world' because surely things are happening in it that most people don't like eg. operation R.A.T. which can destroy entire countries...in the bible, we call that...the destroyer.

We don't attribute that leading just to people.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
