Are face-lifts as successful for men as for women?

In all modern societies men do not undergo as much cosmetic surgery as women. Among the very practical reasons why men don't have face-lifts is that they simply do not like to wear makeup. Cosmetics are required for weeks and even months after face-lifts.

Scars in front of and behind the ears are easily covered by women with makeup and hair. Men are reluctant to use makeup and usually do not have hair long enough to cover the scars. In addition, face-lifts remove the hairless skin between the side burn and the ear giving men a bizarre appearance.

With the advent of laser hair removal, this may be less of an issue in the future.
