Are there any issues or problems with iPhone syncing with Outlook (locally, not Enterprise Server) on XP?

As no-one is answering, I'll let you know what I know. I sync with Outlook 2003 on XP with no problems. Calendar and Contacts sync fine.

I don't try to sync my Outlook email accounts, but it's supposed to be perfectly possible. The iPhone doesn't have tasks , and your Outlook Tasks will not be synced. The iPhone has a basic note-taking app, but it doesn't sync with Outlook Notes.

I personally rarely create or edit calendar entries on the iPhone, I tend to use Outlook as the master, and iPhone as my portable copy. However, you can update in the phone if you want, and it does sync properly. Like any system with different copies of data, if you edit them both before syncing, you may create a mess.

If you're creating a calendar entry on the phone, you won't have all the same recurrence options as Outlook. I'm perfectly happy with how well it syncs, though it would be nice if Tasks synced too.

The biggest issue is that the iTunes add-on you need to use in Outlook to make it happen sometimes causes issues in Outlook with instability or performance. If you suspect that's happening one way to test is to start Outlook in Safe Mode and see if the problem persists. (hold down CTRL while you click the icon) See if this helps: officeforlawyers.com/outlook/tsol.htm#safe.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
