Are there any places to eat/shop (family friendly) on 6th street in downtown Austin?

Well....there are all kinds of restaurants. Many of them double as bars as night. I'd recommend Iron Cactus on 6th.

I've heard great things about the restaurant in the Driskill, but I've never been there (and I'm sure it is pricy). Shopping is going to be harder. Downtown doesn't really have an kind of boutiques or anything like that.

Mainly just regular stores (dry cleaners and the like) or higher end clothing stores. South Congress is the area of town known for all kinds of shopping. Hope that helps.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
