The community of Mission Beach in San Diego has the longest undisturbed cement boardwalk running parallel to the beach. It begins in Mission Beach Park and runs up through Pacific Beach. It is probably one of my favorite places in the city to enjoy a leisurely afternoon bike ride or stroll.
All manner of activities are permitted such as walking, strolling, biking, skateboarding, and rollerblading. The rules for the boardwalk are posted along with the beach rules of no smoking, alcohol, or glass bottles. Dogs are allowed on the boardwalk only during certain hours depending on the time of the year.
Basically no dogs after 9AM and before 4PM or 6PM, making sunset walks with your furry friend possible.
There are several shops, restaurants and hotels along Pacific Beach Boardwalk from Crystal Pier to Santa Rita Place. This is a lively and ecclectic stretch of the the boardwalk. The boardwalk runs along side Pacific Beach beach.
Santa Rita Place marks the end of Pacific Beach and the beginning of Mission Beach. Mission Beach boardwalk is residential with funky old small homes, apartments and condos. You won't find retail until you get past the Life Guard Station at Ventura Place.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
