Are women really oppressed in islam?

Are woman really oppressed?" Not where I live. And not anywhere in the first world either.

I see women everyday freely walking around just like anybody else. They are working, in politics, they are CEO's. They are also out voting for their democratically elected government.

They hold jobs, have bank accounts and are free to decide what it is they want to do with their lives, including getting married or remaining single, having children or not. Women in the first world have the same legal Rights, Opportunities and Freedoms as men do. None of us are "oppressed".

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
