Are you freaked out by global warming?

I am freaked out because I don't thihk any one is doing a dam thing about it and I don't think enought people know how dam bad it is. We could lose this planet, yea the whole planet, and if you don't get that you don't read or just don't care, and that is what freaks me out.So does the fat that other people don't care freak you out? No, and no one should be, actually. The UN report prepared by "2500" scientists has been shown to be a sham, since the vast majority of these people have no scientific qualifications and merely went along with the few that did, virtually all of who objected to some aspect or other of the final report. The temperature recording devices have been show to be located in places subject to artificial heating.

The computer models used in the projections have been shown to be completely inadequit for the task. So - why be freaked out? If you are a fundamentalist Christian, you know that God is going to destroy this world by fire, but you will not go through that.

If you are an atheistic naturalist, you know the earth has gone through heating/cooling cycles of about 1,500 each for at least the last million years, so it is nothing man-made or new. If you are over 60 years old, you remember when the same upper echelon of scientists was warning us of the impending ice age. Don't worry - Be happy.

I'm freaked out anyway With the whole political argument aside, I think there is one fatal flaw that humans have not really come to grips with--the world has been and will continue to change. While human intervention may be accelerating this process, natural disasters will continue to reshape the face of the planet. So, having said that, what is the plan for the INEVITABLE global warming, followed by the INEVITABLE ice age to follow?Nothing.

There is no plan. Humans have the idea that their beach front property will remain so when in reality the waters may either recede or swamp this coveted land.Do you think that Russia will be upset if global temperatures make much of its territory more productive and livable? Many times, a lost for some is a gain for others.

Of course, this is a completely different issue if things change so quickly that populations are being decimated or forced into exile. Just out of curiosity, how do you suppose we are going to lose the planet? The worst case scenario is that the planet loses us!

Yes, I am! It isn't keeping me from sleeping right now, but I keep hearing different statistics and it is alarming. I heard today that by 2050 all the polar bears will be gone because of global warming.

That's just sad. Hopefully, the Generation X'ers will do something about it. I'm really worried about it because no one has been listening to the scientists. Al Gore has made us aware of it. S film and book have really addressed the problem.

When you see programs showing the ice melting at the North Pole, and that 3/4 of the polar bear population will be gone, it's frightening. Also, with warming we are having droughts, floods and tsunamis all over the world. Some legacy we are leaving for our kids, war, and destroying the planet.

We must take immediate action in the next 10 years or it's irreversible.

Yes how much people don't care is frightening. It seems to be true that many people don't care and if those people don't start helping global warming is going to screw over our planet .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
