The first thing you have to do is stop viewing the 10 year old as "the punk", children will live to their expectations, and if they come in with you expecting them to misbehave and be bad, they will misbehave and be bad. Let him come in with a clean slate, no expectations, then if he misbehaves, deal with it as you go, don't judge him based off of what youve heard. For the autistic child, see what local resources you can get for him, therapists to help him with his issues.

Talk to them and ask them about how to help him deal with his specific issues. With autistic children, its all about repetition and routine. Make a routine and stick to it.

Talk about what your doing all the time, always use your words, so he can learn to use his words. If theres something he wants, not something he needs, show it too him and repeat the name of it over and over and don't give it to him until he attempts to say the word as well. Make set rules and punishments for those rules.

Mix the punishments up to see what works best, try one thing for a few weeks and of it doesn't work, try another. Be sure to be strict, yet loving, show them that you care about them and do fun things with them, but also show them that you arent afraid to punish when they step out of line.

I have great respect for people that take children in for forest care I do have a problem with call a ten year boy you never met a punk I am sure he is a handful, I bet a lot the that have to do with why he is in forest care He may have a hold different problem I would suggest you see if the state will pay for family counseling From the start, that will give the child and you a chance My child is Autistic, at five was non verbal She is not non verbal now Call your school and see what programs they have for autism Tell them you are taking in a child that in first care that is non verbal autistic My school district have a program for autistic children, which is very hard to get into My child only got one year of the program I have friends that children are sent out of district for to a school.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
