Similar questions: happy Barry Bonds hit #755.
I’m ready for it to be over. I feel like since he broke the single season record we’ve been holding our breath to see if he would get here. Then all of the drama with his injuries and the strange Dr. who said he needed to recuperate, then Balko, then the ESPN show about Barry - I’m just ready for it to go away.
As far as whether Mr. Bonds is a cheater or not - well - he played the game by the rules that were set by the game. I really fault baseball for not stepping in during the Macguire/Sosa run and looking more closely at that. I don’t think it was right but if baseball had done something maybe we wouldn’t have gotten to this point.
I know hindsite is 20/20 but. The steroid era was what it was. Now could we please let him get his next hit and move past this.
I was a lot more happy that A-Rod hit his 500th yesterday. I’m pulling for him to reach 775 - and I’m a Red Sox fan..
I have mixed feelings. I wouldn't say I'm happy because because I'm not a fan of San Francisco or Barry Bonds, but I'm not angry either. I think mainly I'm sad that this impressive record has such a cloud around it.
The original record was undisputed. Now people will always have questions. Obviously, Barry Bonds has real skill because muscle enhancement alone wouldn't let someone hit 755 home runs, but the record will always be tainted, whether he's guilty or not.At least I can say that I saw history when I watched the game last night, I guess.
I have very mixed emotions about the whole thing. Steroids or not Barry Bonds has put a lot of work into reaching this milestone so I have to admit that in some ways I admire him. I also have to say that if he did use certain drugs that they weren’t prohibited by baseball at the time and so you can’t really say that he cheated.
On the other hand he has nowhere near the class that Hank Aaron has and so I hate to see someone who has a tendency to be a jerk break a record held by one of the classiest guys to ever play the game. ": You're right about A-Rod. S accomplishment was overshadowed by Bonds in the media.
2 It's a non event in my (record) book. We know who still holds the record. The Tour this year seemed to have more cheaters than ever. It's in every sport and with the bazillions to be earned with sponsers in every sport, there will always be a percentage that will do anything to win.
That will never go away.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
