Your going to need a high school diploma to be a Ranger. At your age you will also need parental consent to join the Army. Once you have both of those, go speak with a recruiter about an option 40 contract.
This contract will take you from OSUT to airborne school, then to Ranger Indoc. OSUT is basic training and your MOS training combined. I'm going to take a wild guess and say you want to be Infantry, MOS 11x.
The OSUT for that is 14 weeks longs (I think). Once you are finished with OSUT, you will be sent off to Airborne school where you will learn to static-line parachute. This school lasts a couple of weeks.
If you successfully complete Airborne School, you will be sent to the Ranger Indoctrination Program, also known as RIP. This is a 2 week selection process. It is extremely demanding and very few manage to make it through.
IF you make it through all of the above, you will be assigned to a battalion in the 75th Ranger Regiment, and given your Ranger Tab and tan beret. Once assigned you will continue training for a few months with your unit. Once all of your unit training is complete you will be ready for you first deployment.
All of this takes around 6 or 7 months PLUS the 2 or 3 months you will spend in Unit training. If you fail Airborne school or do not make it through the Indoc, you can retry at a later date. Some of the lengths of training I listed may be wrong and I apologize for that.
Please correct me if I am wrong. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE WHO SAY YOU NEED TO GO THROUGH RANGER SCHOOL! Ranger School is something that anybody in any branch of the military can enter.
This is a school designed to help you become a better leader, although almost all Rangers end up completing this school at some point in their career. THIS SCHOOL DOES NOT MAKE YOU A RANGER, it only makes you Ranger qualified. Ranger qualified only means you completed Ranger school, it does not make you part of the 75th.
I am only pointing this out because many people are very misinformed on Ranger school. Good luck!
Go talk to a army recruiter and tell him you want to be a ranger and sign up with a ranger contract thing were you will get more chances as a ranger and "they" will see about, just do awesome and your in best wishes and good luck.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
