I really don't know. My guess is nothing will happen, nothing at all. But maybe there's something?
Hell just because I didn't go to a certain church seems highly unlikely. That doesn't really scare me because it's just too remote a possibility. And frankly if it would happen I'd know that there is no justice and wouldn't want to regret my honesty in life.
Atheists don't think there is a hell. So it doesn't scare them. Most think that death is the end, and nothing special happens thereafter.
I think this is a much less scary proposition than eternal life even in heaven. The only way for me to enjoy eternity would be to completely change who I am. Otherwise I am guaranteed to get bored latest after a few centuries.
But if I am completely changed into something different, it would not be me continuing. And how different would that be from the atoms which currently make up me then make up a tree, a beetle or a fungus? If I am wrong and there is hell, then I guess it's "oops".
But even then I don't think hell would be the fiery pit of medieval writings. But given that I don't see how I as an entity would continue to exist after death I am not really worried. Without evidence for supernatural in our daily life, I don't see why we should suddenly not follow the laws of nature after we a dead.
And I don't see where the energy for my continued consciousness would come from after I am dead by any natural means.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
