It's an understandable reaction, though at the same time it's possible not to see all foreigners as a threat and alien. (Calling them "towelheads" is also inadvisable and possibly inaccurate- they don't come out of a school nativity play). It is right that those coming into a country, unless they are refugees or people otherwise needeing to claim asylum who are in desperate need, should in the main have the necessary skills to benefit our economy, and should at least be able to speak good English and be reasonably able to integrate without undermining our values.
There is also a point where we will simply run out of space and housing, public services will be unable to keep up, though, there are problems with such things which have nothing to do with immigrants which need solving before we can definitively say that.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
