I am in Canada so I cannot claim to be familiar with the law in Queensland. (Which I've visited by the way: it's incredibly beautiful :) But I am disturbed by the notion that you went to your pastor for spiritual advice and, after you gave him private information, he then informed you that it would not be privileged. In many jurisdictions clerical privilege is guaranteed by law but in other areas the law limits the privilege in cases of child abuse and other such crimes.
Regardless of your alleged offense you were entitled to better counsel from your clergyman. You really need to talk to a lawyer, and soon. (Communication with a lawyer is definitely privileged.) Note that, according to one legal database, in Queensland.
"it is a defence to prove that the accused person believed, on reasonable grounds, that the child was of or above the age of 16 years.
Your going to jail for having sex with a minor. Your 19 and she is 14. Thats the law in the whole of Aussie?
You don't need your pastor to go tell the police, they probably already know. Expect a visit. I can guarantee you, that you will be f*cking stressed and upset, when your convicted.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
