At what speedkm do shift gears?
Answer depends on car really... (VW golf:) from first to 2nd at +/- 15 km/h (the sound of the car will let you know) to 3rd after 40 km/h 4th gear starts at about 70 anything o the sound (high rpm) will tell you when to shift gears - the sound is annoying (like it has to work real hard) and you will want to shift.
You'll soon know by sound and feel when to upshift. Use your tach for downshifting as well. I don't like to go lower than 2000-2200 rpm when decelerating.
When the tach reaches that level upon deceleration, its time to downshift to keep the engine in a happy rpm range. You'll also get some sense of speed just by the rpms in gear. Enjoy your driving machine!
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
