There is lack of credible evidence for the spontaneous generation of life and progressive evolution. But atheists seem to have no trouble in treating these beliefs as FACT. So it is obviously not lack of evidence that is the defining factor for atheists.
Atheism is rather a case of; believe your ideology is a foregone conclusion and then accept any evidence which supports it and reject or ignore all evidence which contradicts it. So long as you announce to the world you are following 'science' maybe you can get away with it and hope no one will notice. Of course, if some pesky theists, creationists or real, objective scientists happen to point out any errors in your science/logic, you just use ridicule and abuse to silence them.
It is actually much more difficult to be a thinking, logical atheist than a thinking, logical theist. Most atheists are simply bandwagon-jumpers rather than serious thinkers about the subject. It is very easy to be one of these.
All you have to do is swallow and accept, without question, the hype and propaganda that atheism is based on science, and is the only rational position for an intelligent person. You can then revel in the belief that you are of superior intellect to those ignorant, superstitious, God believers. Of course this is absolute rubbish, if anyone is sensible enough to take the time to study and think about what atheists are compelled to believe, it is obvious that the exact opposite is the case.
If you reject a Supernatural First Cause you are left with no option but to believe in a natural first cause. This is the only alternative and is the default belief of all genuine atheists. It is irrational and unscientific to believe in a natural first cause that (although subject to natural laws) somehow manages to defy them all by: - 1.
Itself, not having a cause. 2. Being able to create everything from absolute nothing by sheer chance.
3. Being able to contradict information theory and commonsense by creating information (a non-material constituent of the Universe) from matter. 4.
Being able to create the potential blueprint for the future spontaneous generation of life, contrary to the law of Biogenesis, the laws of Probability and several other laws. 5. Being able to embody the potential for the future creation of intelligence, consciousness, design, skill, justice, artistic talent etc. as an intrinsic property of the Big Bang explosion.
In a nutshell, to be an atheist you have to believe that matter/energy was once able to defy the laws that govern it, What is more, you have to believe this without any evidence. In other words, to be an atheist, you have to believe in a 'magical' origin of the Universe. WOW!
.... It must be the 'Big Bang' Wizard! And they try to portray theists as stupid, unscientific, irrational believers in sky fairies etc. Incredible!
I remember watching a show on the Science Channel once, That there are many dimensions. Scientists have discovered about 11 dimensions. We live in the 4th dimension with length, width, height and time.
So, we know God is eternal, meaning time doesn't exist for God. On the Show one Scientist asked "Could it be that God lives in a different dimension then ours?" Which I believe and why Atheist keep using the "lack of evidence" Argument.
With Science you have to have an open mind, to search for answers. There are so little Atheists in the world, while the majority of the population truly feels there is something there. Why?
What do they feel? How do they experience it? Why would something you can't see or feel physically; give you joy and comfort?
So in my opinion you can't automatically assume something does not exists because you can't see it. There are many evidence that Ghosts exists. And some could use logic to explain the paranormal, but there are some things in the paranormal that not even science can explain.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
