Atheists who were indoctrinated as children to be Christian did you lose all your beliefs at once or over time?

Mommy dearest was a rabid Christian fundie. Yes we were indoctrinated. Yes we were punished.

Yes I become an expert at lying and pretending. Yes I left home as soon as I was able. Yes my birth family disowned me.

I was raised by a narcissistic Southern Baptist preacher. So, I not only had to believe I had to know more about the superstitious garbage than most. The irony, of course, is that my increased knowledge about the superstitious garbage led me to become an atheist.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
