ATI 5850 HD 1GB being read as 4GB?

The 7850 needs at least a good name brand 450W PSU, the 7870 needs at least a 500W PSU. Both need the 6 pin PCIe video power connectors. (7850 needs one, 7870 needs two) If your PSU is marginal, or less than required, then the video card may be crashing under heavy video load.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
