There will always be people who believe that nut job.
Conservatives forget that there is always going to be some backfire, in this kind of gutter politics. It usually happens when the sane people who don't listen to that brand of crap, go out and vote. Prime example.. Obama made his biggest gains in the polls during the election...not when he spoke, but when conservatives spoke about him.
People don't like to be lied to. The support the GOP gains by lying has a very short lifespan. People believe the lie for a time...the polls reflect it, then the truth begins to put on it's shoes and the poll would swing the other way.
This is why the GOP adopted a strategy of....tell one lie after another, as quickly as possible,...this way the previous lie affect will be dropping off as the new lie affect goes into full swing.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
