I invested in a "Food Saver" and it is worth every penny I paid for it. It extracts the air from the package and seals it with heat. Food lasts much longer including all game and fish, I use it for everything, veggies, fruit and meat.

Air is what causes "freezer burn" and this product completely eliminates all air.
