Best place for lunch in Rochester, Minnesota?

1. Daube's Bakery/Jasper's Alscasan Bistro: QUOTE from chowhound.chow.com/topics/122420 Rochester's unique gems. The former is an excellent bakery, the later a small and delicious bistro on 3rd.

Both are owned by the same group, and both are very reasonably priced. If I could recommend only one place to visitors, it would be Jasper's. END QUOTE 2.

Seventh Rib: This great, authentically lumberjack steakhouse is about 1/2 hr South of Rochester after you go through Stewartville on 63 South (Racine) It has some awesome steaks. 3. Pho Hoa: A decent new Vietnamese off 37th street.It has true authentic Vietnamese food and can be very spicy.

If you like Asian/ethnic food, this is your place. 4. Pannekoeken: A Dutch casual diner, has good lunches.

One of the few places left with a fresh, sizable salad bar in town. 5. Lord Essex at the Kahler Grand Hotel.

A Very small and cozy but the food is excellent and offerings vary. They have World Tour deal going where every few weeks they feature a different country with 3-4 items plus options for wine or beer flights.6. Zorba's Greek Restaurant.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
