BMW have any plans to make an electric vehicle? What model would you most like to see an EV version of?

The Megacity EV is the model I would like to see and it is coming out in 2012-13 yet. --quote-- BMW announced today that it will build its first regular series production electric vehicle at its plant in Leipzig in northern Germany. The Megacity EV is expected to debut sometime around 2012-13 and will be targeted as an urban commuter vehicle.

The next stage in BMW's electric field test program will be the 1 series-based ActiveE that will be put into the hands of drivers in 2011. The ActiveE will use the same type of SB LiMotive lithium ion batteries that will go into the Megacity. ---end of quote.

Toyota and Mazda: hybrid technology Mazda Motors and Toyota Motors announced a deal under which the Japanese giant Toyota will supply its new hybrid technology under patent to Mazda, in the latest fusion within the always more quickly world of auto industry. The technology run and the industry has to follow the path. Two of the most important Japanese carmakers (No.1 and No.5 in this field) have been discussing the potentially behind the scenes since many months as the raising popularity of gasoline-electric cars climb up in Japan, the Japanese government helps in this process with a lot of generous subsidies, so the market is moving quickly, and the new technologies will became a reality in few years.

This kind of hybrid cars which improve fuel productivity by twinning the internal combustion engines using electric engine, are seen as fundamental for carmakers to increase sales in the next few years, meanwhile the governments all over the planet are going to introduce several environmental regulations. Hybrid Gasoline-electric cars have reach a burst of request, especially on the Japanese territory over the past few year as the government presented an exemption from some kind of taxes for gasoline-electric and many others next-generation vehicles, this project is starting in this years and is going for a three-year period. Hybrids car are spreading very fast in Japan, maybe faster than in every other country and the market is full of new products and the domestic market has become the new goal, an urgent task, I don't know if these huge corporation are interested in the preservation of the environment or simply in their interest, but Mazda, Toyota, Tesla Motors and few other companies are trying to put on the market their new revolutionary products.

The Matza project is a medium range project, the Japanese firm believe to put its new product on the market in Japan by 2013 combined Toyota Hybrid System and their new gasoline engine. The other fundamental components like: controls unit, breaking units, battery packs and inverters will be produced from Toyota affiliates. Among others companies, old enemies like Daimler and BMW are also join their forces together on a new study to produce an hybrid car.

Mazda and Ford continue to share few vehicle platforms and operate in the same factories, but many voices around this two big companies seem to say that at the moment relations between the two giants have cooled to match the U.S. automaker's decreased stake in the from a controlling 33.4 percent. So the green technology is the new challenge, hoping that the corporation are trying to change their old gasoline path in order to archive a better and eco-friendly technology in few years.

The BMW 2000 tii Touring -- an old favorite - I drove this car from New Jersey to Oregon back in the 8o's -- a nice puke green color, bought from the Ex-President of the M-Sport division.... all tricked out.... I think it's shape lends itself nicely to a hybrid or all electric!

I wish it is the 6 series, BMW M6, the highest performance of the six series. It is my dream car and always be the best for me. If BMW make it into an electric vehicle, then that will become the most fantastic car in the world. It has a stylish de.

Well, for a car I would love a BMW Z4 M coupe. Fast, pretty, sporty and just fun to drive ( well, so they say ..... ). I could definately see myself touring around the coast in this car :)

But I'd also like an electric version of this beauty...a BMW K 1300 GT perfect for touring around Australia in comfort and style!

Just wow.......it looks so smooth to ride....

Looks like they have a 1 series concept EV.. reviews.cnet.com/8301-31229_7-10433620-2... Personally, I think this is the perfect platform for an electric B'mer as its small/agile and could make for a really fun ride.

The plan of manufacturing a new electric vehicle is on proccess. And it is said that it will appear in between 2010-2015. I prefer to make a mid size car which is simple but attractive in nature, with fast option and luxury interiors..

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
