I've read your history with this problem and I think you are overdoing the spark as the problem. Yes it will sometimes shoot a spark through the cap but when it is connected to the spark plug it won't. And if the spark was the problem it would miss and you would notice that at all speeds.
In one of your post you said you soaked the carb in Pinesol for two days. That was useless have you though of soaking it in carb cleaner AFTER you take it completely apart? I'm not to sure it is a fuel supply problem although it does seem to run out of fuel at higher RPM.
But that would not leave soot on the plug. I'm leaning towards compression, valve lash or burnt valve. Do a compression test to see if I'm right.
I read that it only had 300 miles on it when you bought it, did it run this bad from the time of purchase? If not what were the circumstances when it went bad?
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
